With the HP Write and Read 2013 program, Pinoy school children will soon learn how to produce creative school projects using modern technology. This year's program focuses on creativity and it is in line with HP's commitment to enhance children's creativity, education, and holistic development. The Write and Read program leveraged on the HP Ink Advantage printers as a tool in cultivating students’ potential and improving their creative and academic performance through affordable, reliable and high-quality prints.
The HP team also opens a contest for 1st to 4th year high school students based in NCR. The contestants will undergo a two-day master class either in poetry writing or illustration. The final contest entry will be a collaborative work between one writer and one illustrator who underwent the master classes. There will be a common contest theme which the contest facilitators will announce sometime during the contest period. The grand winners, one writer and illustrator tandem will automatically get an Ink Advantage printer each and other prizes from HP.
The Department of Education for its part will utilize its set of workshop teachers who are experts in the fields covered by the program. The agency will also distribute information about HP Write and Read 2 and about Efren Peñaflorida’s, advocacy on how printed materials are important in nurturing students’ creativity in reading, writing and visual arts.
