#AlagangAlaska Nutri-Talks For Affordable Nutrition For Every Filipino Child

This pandemic has brought on a variety of challenges for us moms. These days, it's not enough to just see to it that the kids get  to eat and study well. We now have to make sure that they get the proper nutrition so they don't get the virus. This apart from the added tasks of overseeing the kids' online classes and modules. (Yes, I still have to assist Ralph with his video requirements because he has become swamped with tasks from his subjects and orgs.) That's why I really enjoyed the #AlagangAlaska Nutri-Talks with celebrity mom Rica Peralejo, radio DJ Mama Emma, and nutritionist and dietician, Reginna Emiliene Lat, RND. It's great to know that other moms also experience my struggles!

Rica, for one, had to struggle with buying groceries and making sure that she still gets to buy nutritious food for her chikitings. “The pandemic has made it harder to plan meals for the family. It's difficult because your movements are limited and you can't go out freely to buy groceries personally and think of nutritious food pairings that your kids will like,” Rica said.

I agree, the struggle is real! Ralph was a picky eater (he still is up to now, haha!) and, when all else fails, I'll just be at peace with the though that it's ok that he didn't get to eat all the healthy stuff because, at least, he drank his glass of milk. Rica's the same. "Milk is honestly a godsend for me and for moms because of its affordability, nutrition value, and of course, its kid-approved taste,” she added.

Meanwhile, Ms. Reginna shared her experiences in providing nutritional advice to low-income families, which became even more challenging during the pandemic. A lot of businesses closed so there are also lots of parents who have become unemployed.  How can they provide healthy food for their family when they're in between jobs? Also, milk often becomes a  non-priority item in the grocery list for low income families. This is why Alaska Milk launched the Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk Drink Super Sulit Pack.

Containing protein, calcium, vitamin C and vitamin D for “Lakas” (strength) which helps with body development, and choline, iron and iodine for “Talas” (sharpness) which helps with brain development, Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk Drink is a delicious drink that kids can enjoy every morning, paired with a healthy and balanced breakfast. Best thing of all, it's only Php 70 for a 300g pack!

Consider this Alaska Milk's Christmas gift for us moms this Christmas! According to Mark Henry Camacho, Brand Manager of Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk Drink, this Super Sulit Pack is Alaska Milk's most affordable milk pack ever and this is launched so that even the children from low-income families can still get the nutrients and care they deserve.

Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk Drink 300g “Super Sulit Pack” is now available until December 2021 in Shopee, Lazada, leading supermarkets, grocery stores nationwide. For more information on Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk Drink, visit www.alaskamilk.com and www.facebook.com/alaskamilkph.
